How to Set Up Apple CarPlay™ in a Land Rover

Before you learn how to set up Apple CarPlay™ in your Land Rover, make sure that your device is compatible. You’ll need an iPhone 5 or a more recent model, and you’ll need to be running iOS 7.1 or above.

Once you’ve determined that you’re good to go, follow these steps to connect your Apple smartphone to your Land Rover:

1. Navigate to settings, and make sure that both Siri and CarPlay™ are turned on.
2. Using an Apple Lightning cable, plug your iPhone into one of your Land Rover vehicle’s USB ports.
3. A prompt should appear immediately on your primary touchscreen. Select ‘yes’ to launch the feature.
4. Unlock your iPhone, and you should see another prompt. Press “allow” to complete the connection.

To take advantage of your new features, switch from the standard Land Rover interface to the Apple CarPlay™ interface by pressing the CarPlay™ button on your touchscreen, whenever your device is plugged in.
